Simplify To Thrive
coaching, workshops, community
Have you had the desire to declutter your space for months or years now but haven’t made much progress?
Let’s do it together.
Greetings,
From March 22 - April 17th, I’m leading my online four session workshop Simplify To Thrive where, together, we’ll address your most difficult, cluttered spaces.
Doing it together in a compassionate space can soothe the overwhelm, resistance, loneliness and self judgment that can come with having clutter.
If you feel massive resistance to following through with your desire to declutter and you don’t know why (but you’re ready to try) this workshop will support you to get started.

This Workshop Might Be A Good Fit For You If You:
-
Have the desire to declutter but haven’t made progress because you feel overwhelmed.
-
Recently moved, still haven’t fully unpacked and your stuff doesn’t fit in your space.
-
Inherited someone else's clutter and are drowning in an avalanche of things that never belonged to you.
-
Have ADHD and find you need gentle, patient and compassionate instructions and emotional support to stay focussed to get tasks done.
-
Are healing from a chronic illness (physical, mental, emotional) and want to do all you can to feel well again.
-
Are highly sensitive and crave having a sanctuary that helps you deeply relax and be yourself.
-
Care about the earth so much that you get paralyzed about where your unwanted things will end up.

Learn The Art of Decluttering
Decluttering can be a healing and transformative process when approached with gentleness and compassion.
In the Simplify To Thrive Workshop you’ll be held in a circle of support and get practical guidance on how to start decluttering. We’ll explore the emotional threads tied to clutter and begin untangling the knots. You’ll take small actionable steps decluttering your space.
Doing it together in a compassionate space gets the momentum going and helps break through the resistance.

Why does doing it together make a difference?
1. FOCUS: Because left to your own devices you get distracted and the next thing you know you’re onto something else. Decluttering never happens.
2. SUPPORT: Because emotional support, practical guidance and gentle accountability will help you stay on track following through with your goals.
3. RELIEF: Because hearing the experiences of others and realizing you are not alone in the pain, shame and overwhelm is a huge relief, comfort and inspiration that is very motivating.
But why bother decluttering?
Because clutter's effect on our lives is not neutral. If it’s weighing heavy on your mind it’s having an impact on your life. When things about your house are out of balance it influences your inner balance and your health. When your space is set up well to support your life you’ll experience more ease and flow as you move through your day.
"Megan's decluttering class felt like a sanctuary where I could learn, ask questions, and deepen my understanding of my relationship with our home. Even after the class, I continue to be surprised by the insights around home, clutter, and health that come up for me. The pairing of learning and practical action within a communal group felt solid for me- especially as someone who struggles to take action on my own. Taking Megan's class has also helped guide conversations with my partner to talk more about what we want in a home and how to move forward with our current home. I would highly recommend Megan's class if you feel ready and open to building a new relationship with your home. She has a special way of holding your fears, concerns, and struggles with such good care, while also providing strong support and wisdom to help you move forward."

Here are some examples of areas you might work on during the workshop:
-
Your bedroom-because it’s been awhile since you put your clothes away.
-
Your closet-because it’s bursting at the seams and hard to decide what to wear.
-
The boxes you haven’t unpacked since you moved in-because they are taking up space and prevent you from using the room.
-
Your office-because your desk is hidden under a pile of papers and it’s not possible to ‘work’ at your desk.
-
That room that you can’t use because it’s filled with stuff-because maybe that would make a good meditation room or art space?
Here’s what previous participants have said about this workshop…
"I can’t thank you enough for teaching this class! It opened my eyes to new possibilities. I think what I loved most about this course was the realization that I am not alone in feeling overwhelmed by clutter. Everyone has difficulty letting go of sentimental items, gifts, and “what if I will need it again” items collecting dust. I also loved the fact that it motivated me to START decluttering, even if only one small area at a time. I have already cleared my bedroom of clutter, my kitchen counters, several areas in my office and I plan to keep going! It is a work in progress, but I can see how much more energized I feel already after clearing some areas."

“Megan creates a gentle caring environment where you feel safe to share. She gives you wonderful tools to free yourself in a step-by-step process that is relatively painless. You can take big steps or mini steps. It is up to you. In Megan’s class there is no judgment or pressure. You are in charge of what you want to do. She is always encouraging and supportive. It is not a competition but a personal journey of healing. Her approach to decluttering is simple, clear and effective. It works. For me it had to do with letting go and creating movement. Releasing things that I no longer loved, used or had room for. I highly recommend Megan’s “Simplify to Thrive” class. It has transformed my life. I have made room in my life for a new beginning. The windows are open, stuff is off the floors and the air is clear!”

"Megan Montero is a kind and wise soul who knows a lot about the complementary aspects of decluttering and using Feng Shui to improve how it feels to be in your home, how energy moves through it. And she has a method. In her class she normalizes how overwhelming it can be to create order and simplify our lives so we can free up more energy to live and enjoy. She listens to the obstacles on our way and gives us the map of how to do it, step by step.
We don't have to reinvent the wheel or do this alone. Megan has helped me understand my priorities, maximize a feeling of calm and health in my sleeping space, get a handle on how to keep up with the necessary process of letting go of things that we don't need and taking good care of the things we do. She has also helped me understand all the things I do not want because I don't have space, time or energy to take care of them or keep up with them.
With a combination of listening to our dilemmas, teaching simple principles, preparing with some Chi Gong exercises, and doing the work with support, she helped me declutter four areas of my house that really needed it and feel empowered to keep doing the rest. I highly recommend her class."
